Romantic Parisian Destination Wedding
To say this wedding is something out of a fairy tale is to put it lightly. From pre-ceremony photos all over Paris, to a reception aboard a private boat by the Eiffel Tower, dreams don't get much better than this. One & Only Photography and Le Secret D'Audrey captured every breathtaking moment that Fete in France created, and as we wrap up this Monday, I can think of no place I'd rather be than right here.
From Fête In France... Jasmina & Maurice came to Fete in France from Switzerland to plan their intimate Parisian wedding. The couple selected the gorgeous and glamorous Shangri-La in Paris to host both their ceremony and dinner reception.
The hotel benefits from a location near the Eiffel Tower and many of the suites have a lovely view on this iconic monument. Jasmina had a suite with a view for her hair and makeup preparation.
The couple decided to do their photos before the ceremony around the city with the very talented One & Only Paris Photography. After a sweet first look they were whisked away in a vintage white Rolls Royce for photos around the city. After the shoot the couple met back up with their bridal party at the Shangri La for the ceremony. The ceremony was held in one of the historic private salons of the hotel which features high ceilings, fireplace, beautiful hardwood floors and lots of gilding. The couple, being multilingual, chose to incorporate French, German and English into their ceremony. The bride carried a bouquet of pink peonies and white garden roses. When the ceremony was finished guests showered the couple in rose petals as they headed to their cocktail hour.
The champagne cocktail hour was held on the terrace with spectacular views of the Eiffel Tower. After cocktail hour everyone headed into the Grand Salon for dinner at one long table which was filled with pink, peach and white flowers, which accented the soft gold in the room perfectly. For dinner they had a traditional French meal and the couple was toasted by close friends and family. Each guest was treated to a box of Laduree macarons at their seat. After dinner the couple cut the three-tiered cake and headed out for dancing and cocktails on their private boat. As they left the Shangri La guests held confetti guns which showered the couple in gold colored confetti as they headed to the boat. They then embarked on a moonlit cruise of the Seine where the couple shared their first dance and enjoyed cocktails with guests. They enjoyed a two hour cruise while dancing to a DJ as the monuments of Paris sailed by.
