This wedding might be the best proof for why the south of France is holding steady at the top of my wanderlust list. Weddings Of Excellence In Provence created an escape for this couple and their guests, complete with a private villa and rosé wine for the whole wedding weekend. La Paire De Cerises was there to capture it all, and for the foreseeable future I can be found going through these photos on repeat.

From Weddings Of Excellence In Provence… This is why I like so much of my area, the real Provence, and my job. Our company had the luck to meet Julia and Gustavo, an amazing couple, so nice and so sweet, to reveal their love here in Provence in the area of Matisse and Picasso.
Through this, you will discover our area, with its fields of olive trees, lavender, the wonderful old stone villages and our specific light.
Thank you so much to this fantastic couple, whom we see the reflection of their love, surrounded by their families and friends.
From the Bride… When we decided to get married, we knew we wanted something different. Usually, in Brazil, people hold large wedding parties and we wanted to do something more personal with family and close friends. Gustavo and I lived for three years in Europe, where we had the opportunity to know different cultures, countries and specially to make very strong friendships. France was the country we fell in love. It was a spring weekend in Paris when Gustavo proposed to me, just before coming back to Brazil. Then we thought, why not do a destination wedding? Azure skies, lavender fields, medieval villages, vineyards and marvelous food? The place was chosen – Provence, the south of France.
From there, we started our search to discover who could help us in organizing it. Luckily, we found Stéphanie Fayolle, from Wedding of Excellence in Provence, WEP. We were able to travel to the region one year before the wedding and together with Stephanie we chose the house, tasted the food and selected some of the decoration and amenities. The meeting was wonderful, we loved the astral and professionalism of our wedding planner and she knew how to guide us to a place that was exactly what we thought. From that point, all the communication was by email or phone.
The location we choose was the Domaine Albert Gleizes in Saint Rémy de Provence, a beautiful four hectare park of landscaped grounds surrounds the house. The Domaine had a spacious house and a beautiful garden with some trees over 200 years old, and a nice swimming pool. The place also had a lot of culture, it was where the French painter and art author Albert Gleizes, who became known as the main representative of Cubism, used to live. The venue seemed perfect for our big day!
We decided to hold three days of festivities, so we would have plenty of activities for our guests who traveled so long. On the first day, in the morning we took everyone to for a wine tasting at Chateauneuf du Pape, a French town famous for its wonderful wines. In the afternoon we did a pool party at the Domaine for guests to interact and know each other. There was a Crepe truck serving delicious food and wines from the region. The day before the ceremony, we all went to visit two lovely villages: Gordes and Les Baux de Provence. The ride through the region allowed the guests to completely enter into Provençal climate. At night we had a Welcome Cocktail at the Domaine.
Finally the big day! It was a beautiful sunny day, and we had our 80 guests welcomed by a violinist playing classical music. Following the ceremony we offered a cocktail with champagne and rose wine together with typical Provençal food. The music at this time was played by accordion. In the evening, the dinner, selected dishes from the region, was served in the garden just beside the Domaine. After all that, was the party, the band Selton (formed by Brazilians and well known throughout all Italia) played great musics and the dancing went all night long.
It was three magical days at Saint Remy de Provence!
