Last winter I traveled to Boulder and was blown away by their food scene. It was my first time in Colorado and I did not have one bad meal, or local brew for that matter. After going through these photos of one epic farm-to-table wedding shoot in the Colorado Rockies, captured by Cat Mayer Studio and Jami Davis Films, I’m determined to make my next westward trip a summer one.

From Cat Mayer Studio… A group of 13 Colorado wine country vendors were involved in bringing this inspiration to life. Palisade, located in the Grand Valley of the Colorado Rockies, is rich in farm-to-table fresh produce, wines, meats and cheeses. These fabulous vendors in Palisade pooled together to create a shoot that will inspire brides throughout the western Rocky Mountains to create a warm and inviting farm-to-table foodie wedding complete with local brews, spirits and award-winning wines, in addition to farm fresh foods. Until now, Palisade’s food and wine country has been one of Colorado’s best kept secrets!
Thoughtful details for this inspiration shoot included bouquets and table floral designs made of locally foraged flowers, edibles and hops (used to make beer) that will knock your socks off. Organic, farm-fresh fruits & veggies, meats and cheeses grown and raised locally and prepared on-site via food truck were involved, as well as white cabernet sauvignon, spirits and beer, all locally made.
We had romantic gowns modeled by a diverse trio of lovely models, DIY small cakes made with local fruits from the orchard and DIY hand-lettered stationery.
The shoot was set in the lovely High Country Orchards in Palisade, the heart of Colorado’s wine country (hosting weddings May-September during the growing seasons)
