New England Barn Wedding with a Touch of Glam
It's not very often that I get to go behind the scenes of a gorgeous celebration like this. But when the Bride and Groom are none other than your insanely lovable sister and brother-in-law, then it entails a front row seat. It's a day that's one for the books with the perfect Fall weather, warm hot toddies, moments of sparkling glamour and a rustic New Hampshire backdrop. My words do it no justice but you know what does? Ruth Eileen's incredibly beautiful imagery. Have a look here for even more.
From The Bride...Sasha and I met in California and have since moved to the East Coast. He is originally from New Hampshire which is home to one of my favorite little lake towns, Wolfeboro. I attended a wedding at Moody Mountain Farm in Wolfeboro a few years before I met Sasha. I fell in love with the venue and its outrageous views. Being from California I never imagined myself getting married in a place like Moody Mountain. But… a few years and an engagement later I was on the phone booking our fall wedding at that cozy farm. We wanted a modern feel, with a bit of glam and a touch rustic. Most of our beautiful day came together with the help of our loving family and friends. From the flowers which were put together by Sahsa’s Aunt Holly and Granny to the yummy naked carrot cake made by Sasha’s Aunt and Uncle. Most of the decor was DIY and included tinsel escort cards, gold dip dyed stumps, a whiskey tasting bar and a DIY Photo Booth. I knew I wanted our wedding to represent exactly Sasha and I’s personalities and being an event planner I couldn’t help myself with the small, personal details. The wedding day was even better than I could have imagined due to my vendor dream team. Our caterer executed every detail perfectly from the hot spiked cider at the ceremony, to the caramel pots de creme at the dessert table. The barn was like a dream thanks to our day of coordinator and all of our family and friends. But my favorite part was by far the giant, red-leafed tree where we said I do followed by tons of yummy food and dancing the night away.
