Elegant Beach Wedding on Stradbroke Island

Held at the perfectly named An Island Hideaway, this wedding has me believing there's something extra special in that ocean breeze, from the bride's beachy hair to her gorgeous gown. Bird & Boy Photography and Anchored Cinema captured it all from first kiss to barefoot bliss and you too can indulge in your childhood mermaid memories with me right this way!

From Bird And Boy Photography... Kate is a wedding decor professional so she was absolutely thrilled to plan and style her own wedding... she was so organised and knew exactly what she wanted. Kate and Ryan made a lot of the wedding decor. She focused on a beachy theme with lots of flowers and floral arrangements. She was told constantly on her wedding day that she looked like a mermaid!

Kate and Ryan had just moved to the Gold Coast from Melbourne and were so excited to start their married life with a beachy start. They wanted a wedding to feel more like a holiday so they decided to get married at An Island Hideaway which we all needed to take a ferry to get to. It really felt like we were travelling to a secret destination.

We were able to drive to the other side of the island for a secret portrait location with magical lighting and beautiful sunlight.
