I’m a big believer that a wedding’s wow factor doesn’t need to be a grand, expensive addition. Most times, it’s the little details that strike my fancy and continuously wow me throughout a wedding day. Details like the ones in this Sonoma soiree planned with love by A Savvy Event every inch along the way. From A Savvy Event…Brian and Adrienne are that couple you like immediately. They are both so funny and sweet, and clearly so in love. Though they are from Philadelphia, they chose to have a destination wedding in Sonoma because the Napa Valley has a piece of their heart (Brian proposed at Silver Oak Winery) and they wanted to share that with their friends and family.
Brian and Adrienne cared about four things during this planning process – that their friends and family be there, that there is good food and wine, that it reflects their style, and that it’s a party! After hearing about their wants and style, I suggested Ramekins Culinary School as a venue option, and after a quick site visit we chose the venue because of its culinary influence and the gorgeous European décor.
Working closely together, we started designing the wedding. In keeping with the beauty of Ramekins, the theme became “rustic elegance with a culinary influence”. I thought the most important aspects of the design to be the florals and the rustic tables. The flowers really brought in the culinary side – incorporating fresh herbs, lavender, and olive branches to create depth and beauty across the table. The stone urns used for centerpieces tied in with the existing pieces at Ramekins and enhanced the venue. We chose to use one long farm table for dinner to make the party more intimate and seem like a family dinner rather than a wedding.
Brian and Adrienne had a gorgeous day full of love with their friends and family. It was an unforgettable day that was simply enhanced by the gorgeous venue and décor.
