What started as a casual oyster bar date turned into a lifelong love for this adorable duo. And when it came time to plan the wedding – the ultimate dinner party in their eyes – a restaurant celebration was kind of a no-brainer. Complete with an ombre backdrop, rich, textured blooms by Twigs Floral Studio and of course, oysters served a plenty, Em The Gem had no shortage of sweet moments to capture. See it all here!
From The Bride… Josh and I met at an oyster bar in Austin, Texas and we’ve been eating and exploring ever since. We decided to move to Sydney, Australia shortly after our engagement for his job, but returning to San Francisco to celebrate our big day was a must. We’re an adventurous couple that loves cooking and entertaining so it was important to us that we have an event that was in essence the best dinner party we could ever throw. It needed to feel true to us with lots of food and our friends and family. That made booking a restaurant we already loved a no brainer.
Town Hall is romantic with exposed brick, amazing chandeliers, and dark wood. It’s a beautiful setting that only required long family style tables, some romantic flowers, and a few small touches to make it feel like an event and not just a night out to dinner. The ceremony was held in restaurant’s private dining room before we headed downstairs for dinner and festivities. We had a food forward evening with dishes served family style with a whole roast pig as the main event. Since we met at an oyster bar, oysters were a must.
