When I close my eyes and think of the perfect beach wedding, I see a soft, ocean-inspired palette, classic yet nautical-driven details and shoreline views of days. It’s exactly the idea behind this Rosemary Beach affair, chock-full of timeless design moments by Christina Gillon and pin-worthy blooms by Myrtie Blue. The always fabulous Lauren Kinsey told the story just all sitting right here.
From Lauren Kinsey… Rosemary Beach, Florida is the perfect backdrop for any couple’s wedding, but was especially lovely for Megan & Phil’s classic and elegant Town Hall wedding. While the beach is often a popular choice for many brides, this sweet couple wanted to venture away to the Mediterranean inspired town for a bash sure to please all their guests. They were married on the side lawn next to the Town Hall with a candlelit, seated dinner inside Town Hall.
From The Bride… Phil proposed on a Sunday afternoon walk with our dog, Miles. He took me to a nearby park to the pop the big question. It was very sweet and sincere. Once he had the ring on my finger, he rushed me to our house where many of our family and friends were waiting with champagne.
When planning our wedding, I wanted a wedding that was timeless. I was inspired by clean lines, rich fabrics, and simple statements. We always knew that we wanted a destination wedding. I grew up vacationing along 30A and thought Rosemary Beach was one of the most beautiful places. Phil and I visited and he loved it as much as I did. Rosemary Beach is intimate and elegant, just as we had pictured our wedding to be.
I was really looking forward to our “first look” before the wedding. Throughout the busy week of final touches, finishing work, and entertaining guest, we barely saw one another. The “first look” is not just about Phil seeing me in a wedding a gown but, a moment for us to be together without distractions. In a world of constant communication, updates, and notifications, the “first look” is an unforgettable moment to just be… happy in love!
Honestly, everything about our wedding was perfect; flowers, decorations, cake, band, food, pictures and weather, but being surrounded by our closest family and friends was the most special part.
