Whimsical Blush and Gold Alfresco Wedding

Dreamy beyond compare, these longtime loves spent their special day roaming a quiet landscape barefoot. The result? Absolutely romantic. Surrounded by natural beauty, this outdoor soiree is boho heaven. Complete with flower crowns and blush accents, Michael And Carina captured every sweet DIY’d detail. From the bouquets to the cake, I will be coming back to this gallery time and time again.

Colors

From Michael And Carina Photography Rebekah and Derric married on a hill in the countryside of Pennsylvania. Every little detail was inspired by rose and gold colors. It was important for Rebekah to maintain an organic feel throughout the day. Rebekah and Derric’s wedding was unique in every way. It is almost impossible to believe that almost every aspect of this wedding is DIY. The high-school sweethearts poured their heart and soul into making every little detail special. We shot this wedding on medium format film (Contax 645), developed by Richard Photo Lab.

From the Bride… My mom and I have always been thrifty and crafty individuals, So I knew my wedding was going to involve a lot of DIY. Even down to the flowers and napkins. I began dreaming daily on the colors and scheme of the wedding. My inspiration for the wedding came from film, our love, and anything blush pink and the idea that anything can be made beautiful spray-painted gold.

I searched a while for a perfect dress to fit my personality. I still wanted to stay true to myself, a more bohemian feel. But also wanted a wedding dress, I wanted to flow around the dance-floor and the reception. The bridesmaids I knew from the start would be mismatch, I just love that. I wanted them to feel comfortable in it, be affordable, and wanted them to be able to wear it again. Dresses were from all different stores.

Staying true to the theme of the romantic day we had been planning for shoes I knew I would be barefoot most of the day, but I found a pair of blush pink flats I loved, but added a vintage shoe clip to add some more flare. All centerpieces were thrifted and many of them were in horrible colors that we spray painted. Other inspiration came from my love for nature and outdoors. I found a perfect arbor to match my vision, I knew different shades of pink would look perfect on it. Added with my favorite greens eucalyptus. I’ve also been a lover of beautiful calligraphy, and I thought no better way than to have our escort cards written beautifully to set in our also birch wood place-card settings.

I wanted our love, life and laughter to vibrate throughout the day. We have been together since we were young, we couldn’t even drive when we first started dating. We’ve always been crazy passionate about life and each other. I wanted to have a completely passionate wedding, not missing a detail for the day.

It was beyond a dream, and the best day ever. My emotions were flooding with joy all day, I’ve never such a thing it’s so hard to describe. Seeing his face walking down the isle, seeing my dad for the first time, laughing with my girls, and dancing like wild people at the reception. I’ve never seen Derric let loose so much on a dance floor, we literally were just having the time of our life. We’re crazy about life and each other.

I’ve always dreamed of a completely outdoor wedding, ceremony and reception. I was determined to show off all the beauty I had put together under the sun, and the bright bulb lights we had strung through the reception area. My vision was just a beautiful romantic day, and evening. We found the perfect farm tucked back into the rolling hills of New Providence, PA. This is where we laughed, we fell more in love, felt so many emotions and said our promises for forever.
