Organic Elegance at Bastide St Mathieu
Picture yourself saying your I-do's on the rolling hills of Provence... gorgeous as is, right? Then layer in a shower of carnations and a beautiful olive grove as the backdrop, and bam, instant romance. It's the exact setting that sent me head over heels for this France fete. Thanks to Catherine O’Hara Photography, there are plenty more pin-worthy moments right here in the gallery!
From Catherine O'Hara Photography...Christina is American, Julien is French and they met 7 years ago in a shoe shop in France. Together, travel is a source of unparalleled bliss and adventure. This is thus quite naturally they decided to travel to the south of France to celebrate their union in a magical place called Grasse.
From the planner Elegance In France...The first time I met Christina to discuss the planning of the wedding I was impressed by all the details she gave me. She knew exactly what she wanted. She was looking for a beautiful place with a Provence style and friendly atmosphere. The music was a big part of the wedding so it was important to find a venue that allows us to party late into the night. Then Christina showed me a lot of pictures for the decoration. She liked the shabby chic style with a natural feel.
We worked together on the decoration and decided to use as main colours beige, for the flowers white and light green with a touch of blush pink (to match the bridemaids dresses). For the natural feel we used simple materials such as linen, raffia and rosemary.
The ceremony was held in the garden under a “rain of carnation” with an olive grove as backdrop . The cocktail took place poolside. Following the cocktail hour, guests made their way to the terrace for a tasty dinner.’
