You know what I love? A couple that marches to the beat of their own wedding style drum. A couple who designs a day that’s one part modern and another part retro complete with a custom yarn backdrop and mini dinosaur place cards. It’s a wedding that bends the rules of tradition, and thanks to Steve Cowell we’ve got a peek at every last bit.
Steve Cowell… When you have two super cool, super in-love people who are both artists and have incredible style…AND they hire an incredible team of vendors, you end up with an awesome wedding. Joey+Chie had a vision of a day that incorporated a little modern, a little retro elegance, and a little funk…toy dinosaurs may have been involved.
They have been together for 11 years so this was a day that they both have been waiting a while for. Chie had a killer short dress and a beautiful flower crown from Studio Choo. Jesi Haack Design worked their normal magic creating custom colored yarn ceremony backdrops, vintage rugs for the aisle, and custom gold acrylic lettering for the dessert table.
Partway through the reception guests were entertained by professional Lion Dancers, drums and cymbals. It was a beautiful day!
