Wreath Making Holiday Bridal Shower

Oh, how I would’ve loved to attend this fun and festive bridal shower captured by Sally Mae Photography. Lexy Ward of The Proper Pinwheel brought together a close-knit group of girlfriends to celebrate the beautiful bride-to-be over cedar and blooms. Complete with Park Floral Design fragrant flowers and Steam Espresso Bar macarons, every detail is sure to pop up on my holiday wishlist. See it all right here!

From the Stylist..During the holidays, I look for any excuse to throw a party. Inspiration for weddings and events is abundant. With the greenery from trees and wreaths, every party can be a pretty one (and usually is!).

After seeing this new Lavish Laurel invitation suite by Wedding Paper Divas, a wreath-making bridal shower seemed only natural. Designed by Whitney Port, the watercolor greenery from the invitation served as inspiration for the rest of the shoot. We kept everything on the greener side and accented with gold touches and other holiday objects like ornaments and cinnamon sticks.

A garland made from cedar, olive, bayleaf, and eucalyptus ran down the center of the table along with a variety of tealights in white, gold, and green. Each place setting was adorned with a miniature emerald or chartreuse ornament, and tied off with gold ribbon and a cinnamon stick.

What really made this so amazing was all the floral posies and arrangements. We decided to forego the traditional “bride” sash, and opted for a sweet floral crown and corsage. A garland of bay leaf was attached to the back of each chair to dress up each seat.

Of course, no event is complete without tasty desserts. We snacked on DIY watercolored French macarons, glittered gingerbread cookies, and donuts with edible gold leaf. The classiness of the donut just went up 20 notches! Small kraft boxes filled with extra gingerbread cookies were topped with pine wreaths for take home if your sweet tooth wasn’t satisfied! In keeping with the green and gold theme, Wedding Paper Divas also offers napkins and coasters in a plethora of colors and designs. These hunter green ones fit our color story perfectly!

Each guest was given all the supplies to make a 10-inch floral wreath. It’s a fool-proof project when tying holiday greenery together! A few ranunculas and blue thistle helped break things up and add a touch of whimsy. The girls had such a great time catching up over a table of cedar and blooms. What a relaxing way to spend an afternoon and celebrate the upcoming nuptials of a friend!
