Puget Sound Oceanside Engagement

When your engagement session is this naturally gorgeous, I can only imagine what the nuptials will entail. In perfectly secluded surroundings, Jake Anderson was behind the lens of this dreamy e-sesh and snapped up the stylings of Emily Grace. Wide open spaces were filled with warm smiles, sweet kisses, and happy hearts that are sure to overjoy with one look at this gallery.

From Jake Anderson... Josh and Karrah have an affinity for adventure, and are exactly the couple whom inspire me the most. We had planned a fairly typical engagement session to occur just outside of Seattle, but during my time with them during the day, they mentioned an island in the Puget Sound, on which Josh had been doing research the summer prior. In their description of its character and beauty, I immediately knew we needed to break from the plan, and make every effort to shoot on this island. The next morning, a 3:30am alarm, 6:30am ferry out of Anacortes, and a 7:00 A.M. sunrise session later, I can easily say it was the most fun I have ever had making images. Josh and Karrah's lives have been centered around nature, and they found the environment extremely fitting for their relationship and affection to be documented.

In discussing their style, Emily Grace created a wardrobe exuding the personalities of both Josh and Karrah. They both described their styles to be neutral and simple, and Emily ran with that in the best of ways! I thoroughly enjoyed the way in which their outfits compliment the surrounding environment so perfectly; yet with enough of their own individual touches to make it extremely personal.
