Rustic Napa Valley Winter Wedding
My love for winter weddings has been steadily growing, but after seeing these photos, I now consider myself a full blown fan. Waterlily Pond and Soiree By Simone transformed this space into a winter wonderland and Delbarr Moradi Photography was there to snap up every sparkle and snowflake. With Christmas a mere week away, I'll be dreaming of a White Christmas as I cozy up with this gallery.
From The Bride... When J.P. and I first got engaged we knew we wanted to have an intimate destination wedding since our families were from different states, however where that destination would be was up in the air for a while. So we put our heads together and thought of a place that encompasses all of the things we love and enjoy as a couple - Napa Valley! Napa wine country is one of the most beautiful places I have ever visited. It is hard not to be relaxed, romanced and content when you are there, from the spectacular green landscape of mountains and endless vineyards to the amazing architecture and design of the wineries, resorts, and restaurants. Visually it is stunning and the abundance of some of the world’s most incredible food and wine doesn’t hurt either. It was the perfect backdrop for our wedding and I am so happy it is where we chose. I wanted a venue that was both rustic and glamorous and when I visited The Vintage Estates I knew the minute I looked at the property it was our venue. It is from top to bottom beautiful with the striking architecture of the buildings, the colorful landscaping, and the vines crawling up the side of the Napa Style building, I fell in love instantly and could not imagine saying I do anywhere else.
I had known long before we got engaged that when I did get married I wanted to have a winter wedding. When I was growing up and even now as an adult, the holiday season was what I looked forward to the most. December means time for beautiful lights, feelings of love, and of course watching one of my favorite movies, White Christmas. This was a major influence when it came to deciding what time of year and what design I wanted for our wedding. With the white snow, twinkling lights, and romantic atmosphere, I could not imagine a better time of the year to celebrate love and be with your closest family and friends.
I wanted the wedding décor and design to be clean and bright but warm; I imagined white floral arrangements, sparkly accents, and twinkling lights. I wanted it to be wine country meets Gatsby and that is exactly what we created. The design execution of the wedding came out perfect and even more beautiful than I imagined. The tent where our ceremony took place was incredible, crystal chandeliers hung delicately on the altar with softly draped fabric lining the ceiling and walls. I wore a floor length dress designed by myself and Danielle Marie Berg, of D’Marie Couture which was an absolute dream. Made of softly textured cotton pique, it was reminiscent of vintage style with bustles in the back and sheer lace sleeves. The cocktail hour looked stunning in the tent with candles and small floral arrangements sitting atop the tables that were adorned in sparkling white sequined linens. The seating chart written in calligraphy on a silver vintage mirror looked wonderful on a mirrored table decorated with candles, baby’s breath, and silver ornaments. As we moved into the reception space before our guests I was taken aback by how spectacular the Barrel Room looked. There were candles everywhere, snowflake lighting on the floor, and the floral arrangements on the tables were the most beautiful that I had ever seen with cascading white orchids, peonies, and crystal branches. The six large chandeliers were covered in delicate frosted branches and the silver chargers sparkled in the candlelight complimented perfectly by our menus written in emerald green and silver – the space was breathtaking. Our reception was amazing, the food, the wine, our delicious signature cocktails, everything was absolutely perfect and everyone was transported into a romantic winter wonderland. We and our 45 guests had the time of our lives in an amazing setting. It was everything I ever dreamed of for my wedding day and both J.P. and I were thrilled to have our closest friends and family share our special day in our favorite place. The vendors were absolutely incredible and I couldn’t have wished for a better team to work with me on my wedding. It truly was the most amazing, beautiful, and happy day of our lives flawless from start to finish!
