Sit down pretties, because this beauty of a wedding captured by Nicole Berrett Photography needs every little bit of your attention this morning. Dripping in stunning neutral and metallic tones and overflowing with details that will leave you speechless (that vintage plate seating wall has my heart), this gallery is what wedding blogging dreams are made of. And the amazing film from Candlelight Films below? That’s the icing on the cake.

The color palette was made up of neutral & creams, soft blushes and accents of metallic gold. I worked with some amazing vendors to bring my vision to life for many elements of our wedding day, but the biggest projects were the ceremony backdrop and seating chart instillation.
I worked with Stems of Dallas to help create a backdrop for the wedding ceremony that consisted of layers upon layers of mixed materials and ribbon with candles and rose petals lining the aisle.
The plate instillation was my “baby”. I love vintage china and I curated a group of plates I absolutely loved from local shops and Etsy. From there I worked with an event construction company and calligrapher where we met numerous times to ensure the layout, calligraphy and execution all matched my vision. This was the first time these vendors had ever done a project like this so we were all very excited to see the end result. When people ask me how I came up with this idea, I tell them that I had my “aha moment” when viewing an image of plates hung on a dining room wall. I incorporated similar plates into the table numbers to tie it all together.
Another fun detail was the bridal sketch I had on display. I did not take bridal portraits and felt this would be a great keepsake for years to come. I searched for an artist that could keep the sketch realistic, but light and romantic. I came across Linda Lloyd and she did an amazing job!
My favorite part of our wedding was the first look Fritz and I had together. We went from smiling and laughing to happy tears and hugging to soft whispers. Even though our videographer, photographer and wedding planner were all there to help make the moment special it felt like it was just the two of us, in our own little world.
I had the opportunity to donate some of the beautiful floral arrangements featured throughout our big day to a local hospice nursing home in honor of my mom. She passed away in 2008 from brain cancer. I’m so glad I was able to honor her on the most important day of my life while bringing joy and happiness to others.
