This wedding is so incredibly special. Special in the way that it is gorgeous, but also in the way that it is meaningful. It’s glamorous, but filled with so much heart you can’t help but feel something when pouring through Amy Arrington‘s stunning images. It’s warm, it’s cozy, it’s elegant, it’s filled with love – it’s absolutely perfect. See just what I mean here.
From The Bride…My now husband, Joe, popped the question while we were visiting New York City, where we’d met while residing there two and half years ago. Having grown up in North Carolina and Georgia, we felt a strong calling to begin our next chapter in the South.
Friends and family were coming from all over the country for our wedding, so we really wanted them to experience a southern affair at its finest! We served apple pie moonshine during the cocktail hour, BBQ, for dinner and southern inspired confections for dessert. We danced the night away to an awesome, classic southern rock band!
My gown was my Grandmother’s, which had also been worn by my Mother and Great Aunt on their wedding days. With the help of a fantastic seamstress in Atlanta, we were able to redesign the gown into a style that better suited me. The gown turned out beautifully and the sentimental value of it is worth its weight in gold (which I used as my core color!).
Even though we chose a beautiful, rustic venue, I really wanted to create a glamorous setting inside the stable. With the help of some of the most talented people I have ever met, including my wedding planner, Eva Clark, this was accomplished. The best part is that our photographer captured our wedding perfectly and I can almost relive the day every time I look through the photo gallery!
