A Bohemian Elopement Inspirational Shoot

As much as I gush over wedding details on the daily, an intimate wedding where love is center stage always wins in my book. So elopements have always been my cup of tea, and this elopement inspiration from Anna Smith Photography and Everly Alaine Florals is the perfect example of why. The focus is on the the biggest and best detail of all, the couple saying I do. See even more gorgeous inspiration here.

From Anna Smith PhotographyThe reason I became a photographer is simply this: to show people just how beautiful their lives really are. Living in the heart of the city in Texas we do not often venture out to see natural beauty and the great outdoors. When I decided to pick up a film camera I knew exactly where to take it for the first time. I was lucky enough to find a place that inspired me photographically for this shoot. The water is… so amazingly blue, and just not something that we see in Texas. The greenery mixed with those bright colors is really something to remember. There is a hidden pathway to get down to the bottom of the rock formation to get your feet wet, so we took advantage of that as well. I just knew that the very smooth, warm light at sunset would give us stunning photos to remember for a lifetime. I wanted to show that it does not take thousands of dollars to express the love, the beauty and the hope we see from people in love or those that choose to elopements to marry.

I worked with Leslie who is a very talented florist at Everly Alaine Florals, to make the bouquet and headpiece for this shoot. Leslie made my dreams a reality when she arrived with these gorgeous wild flowers. The bouquet has an earthy feel and is made of uncommon elements such as olive and blackberries and has lots of texture. The light pink mixed with deep maroon flowers for both the bouquet and headpiece were perfect for this setting. Leslie and Daniel had a relaxed dress look: shorts and suspenders and a beautiful yet simple white dress and came barefoot.

What draws me to these photos is that there is something breathtaking in simple, natural and beautiful. Take two people in love, a photographically gorgeous setting with bright blue water, stunning floral design – and you have this! This shoot is anything but ordinary. When I look at these photos I see that exact love we all want to experience, the wilderness of being young, and the calm that marrying your best friend brings. The feelings that Leslie and Daniel share are shared by us through these photos.
