From Marcella Treybig Photography…This wedding was traditional and elegant, but was also filled with lots of fun details that showcased the couple’s personal style and uniqueness. A few of these personal touches were: sea food apps & entree (gourmet tuna wraps, salmon sashimi, Alaskan King Crab salad, etc.), signature cocktails, her favorite flower- Peonies, and a wedding cake covered in rainbow sprinkles & bow ties. The Catholic ceremony was held in a church setting in Georgetown University DC at the Dahlgren Chapel, while the reception was held at The Hay-Adams Hotel in Washington, D.C. This wedding was so much fun and I enjoyed every minute of capturing this couple’s special day. Another big personal touch was the band they selected, The Dream Team, from NYC. The band played at the MOH (and sister of the bride’s) wedding the previous year. They were such a hit that Meghan & Patrick (Bride and Groom) flew them all in to stay and perform for their wedding as well. While looking through this album, you can really see the love and excitement they were feeling that day. An interesting detail! The brides wedding dress had a detachable train! So she’s not actually wearing a second dress, it’s the same dress, just without the fluffy big train.
