From Nbarrett PhotographyGorgeous, May wedding with beautiful vibrant colors. This wedding was an eclectic mix of Spring blooms arranged in Spanish terra cotta on gold sparkled table tops. And to top it off a stunning floral curtain installation for the ceremony. From the Bride… For our wedding day the first thing we knew we wanted was a fabulous photographer. Natalie was the perfect fit! From the first time I met Natalie all the way to the engagement shoot (her adorable bulldog Magnolia kept us laughing the whole time) we fed off of her energy which made our wedding day perfect. We also knew we wanted a May wedding since the flowers and light are the best reminders of the starting of our engagement. After spotting Hickory Street Annex while driving through Dallas, we instantly knew that the architecture and freedom of the venue is exactly what we were looking for! The vintage yet industrial feel and renovated bridal suite is what made me fall in love. We were at the liberty of having both the ceremony and reception in one location but the venue still had a natural flow… especially since the guests could use the repurposed bridal suite as a cocktail area. Of course, planning a wedding is stressful. I eventually realized that collecting every little detail of our wedding is not my cup of tea so we asked Amanda from Hickory Street Annex to help. She was amazing! She knew that we wanted to keep the wedding small and intimate by only having 75 guests. Knowing that a wedding isn’t complete without magnificent flowers…we met with Alicia from Bows & Arrows who knew exactly what we were looking for. We wanted something completely different and to be super vibrant! The deep purple, bright pinks, and oranges from the flowers is what fueled the inspiration for our wedding. She and her wonderful team created the most astonishing hand strung flowers for the ceremony back drop and they used unbelievable terra cotta pots for the centerpieces. They even set aside the perfect colored blooms to be placed on our delicious cakes and dessert bar (my favorite part of the wedding)! Most importantly, the best part of our wedding day was sharing it with our little boy, family, and guests! Their love and support was the only thing we wanted on our wedding day.
