It’s no little secret blush pink has reigned queen of wedding color palettes for the past few seasons. And as much as I adore that soft, pretty shade, miss Lauren Wells is showing up how to step outside the box with an unexpected hue that just might rock your world: green. It’s perfect for the natural, no-fuss bride and she’s breaking down unique to use it. Snaps from First Mate Photo right here!
From Lauren Wells… We wanted to inspire brides to work with new colors, and came up with a bunch of ideas on how to incorporate forest green into any special event.
Pressed botanical art in glass frames (via Terrain), Hunter boots (if it is going to rain, you can still be adorable!), a statement necklace, greens against a wall as a ceremony or photo backdrop, and of course an all-green, amazing bouquet from Pollen Floral Design are just a few ways to use this gorgeous hue.
One of my favorites is the escort card plant – Anne Robin worked her magic by calligraphing the table number on the pot, and each name on a leaf. You could stack all the pots on one table, with scissors nearby, and people could snip their leaf off and find their seat…particularly perfect for a desert or beach wedding, where guests could use the aloe on sunburns or serve up aloe cocktails. Cheers to new color inspiration!
