Charming is a word we tend to use a lot on SMP, but when it comes to a southern wedding as sweet as this one from Jessica Lorren, there just doesn’t seem to be a more fitting adjective. Rustic yet elegant, sweet yet sophisticated – even with all the gorgeous details sitting in this gallery love just seems to outshine them all, and it doesn’t get more charming than that.
After the engagement, I began looking at Style Me Pretty almost daily for wedding inspiration, and pinned countless of their pictures on my Pinterest. From the beginning I knew I wanted the colors to be light and ethereal, and I went for a classic palette of blush pink, white, and ivory. I loved the way these colors looked with the light wood colors in the open-air chapel and the reception barn.
The days leading up to the wedding were hectic, of course, but perhaps the best part was how relaxed the entire day was. My planner, Brandy, and everyone at Mint Springs made the day so easy and stress free. My maid of honor and bridesmaids were truly the best, and I know I could not have made it through the day without them. The whole day was truly indescribably perfect, from arriving in the morning to driving off in our Rolls Royce that night.
My advice to other brides? Enjoy the day, knowing that at the end of the night you’ll be married to your best friend. For me, it was realizing that I had spent months planning, and I completely trusted my planner to make the day beautiful. Thus, all that was left to do was enjoy and savor every moment.
