Ah, the Crane Estate. I may be a bit biased as my fiancé’s parents were married there 36 years ago, but every time a soiree held at this charming venue makes it’s way through our submissions door, I’m filled with delight. It has set the stage for seaside elegance time and again, and this beauty from Jenny Moloney Photography is no exception. View the full gallery right here!
From the beautiful Bride…Rich and I first visited the Crane Estate on a cold, rainy November day, but upon first setting foot on the grounds, I immediately fell in love with the old world romance of the place – from the rolling hills, salt marshes, sweeping ocean views, to the sunken gardens. Wandering the grounds, I remember forgetting where we were for a moment and feeling like I had been swept away to some grand manor in the English countryside. I had always imagined our wedding as an organic, warm, and intimate celebration with our closest family and friends, and this landscape felt like the perfect backdrop. With such beautiful natural surroundings, I was interested in simple, beautiful design that would let the setting speak for itself. I selected an organic color palette, rich in texture, embracing dusty greens, soft creams and blush tones, with a few touches of yellow. Throughout the planning process, we were blessed to work with an amazingly talented and giving team who made our wedding more than I could have ever imagined. Vinwood catered our delicious dinner feast, while Hilary Larson from Eat Cake! crafted the most perfect buttercream vanilla cake and cupcakes. In the months leading up the wedding, my mom collected dozens of antique cake pedestals and vintage English teacups and saucers for our dessert tables. Kerianne Steele from Les Fleur styled our lovely floral arrangements, tying my bouquet with hand-dyed ribbon from Froufrou Chic. Sarah Robins Powell’s delicate and airy calligraphy added that something “extra” to our wedding, and I especially adored the little map she created for our programs. All of these details as well as the fleeting moments of the wedding day were captured purely and intimately by our immeasurably talented photographer, Jenny Moloney, and cinematographer, Chris Koch.
