Whimsical Wedding at Penny's Hill Winery
I didn't think children at weddings could get any sweeter until I saw these adorable little ones with the most beautiful flower crowns. Combined with the bride's bouquet and I'm weak at the knees. The Bloomroom outdid themselves for this wedding, and Life In Still Photography captured every moment. Pull up that Pinterest; you're about to be bombarded with beauty.
From The Bride... Daniel and I had been planning this day for over a year. The hallway in our house is long and blank and was the perfect place to hang three big sheets of butcher's paper, displaying our budget. There was no hiding, it was always in our face, reminding us of what we wanted our day to be.
We wanted our guests know what Daniel and I are all about. Which is a relaxed vibe, great food, a love of indie/ folk music, the family we cherish and the friends we love.
To help keep cost low I designed our invitations and other stationery, which has led me to start my own business. Also my mum and I DIY a lot of the decorations, such as the table runner, drink dispensers and chalkboard arrow signs.
Daniel and I were so lucky to have such amazing floral arrangements, which, by the way, are all artificial. My mum owns her own business specialising in making artificial flowers look fresh. I would never have been able to have some of the flowers I desired for my bouquet if I had chosen fresh.
We had met some really cool people along the planning journey. One being our photographer, Bree, from Life In Still Photography. She is amazing, such a wealth of knowledge. Just before our wedding, Bree became unwell and was unable to shoot our day. However she organised for her very experienced assistant to photograph our wedding instead. This was one of those situations that could have been scary, but we trusted Bree and her team delivered. We have beautiful images to show our friends, family and one day, our children.
