This cozy wedding warms my heart in a serious way – and, believe it or not – has me longing for those cold winter nights. Lynn Lee planned the charming affair complete with sleigh rides and hot chocolate favors, while Joel Bedford was there to capture every pretty detail (including the Bride’s fresh Full Bloom bouquet). Snuggle up in the gallery and just try not to crave a cup of cocoa. I dare you.
From The Bride…We knew that in choosing the Chateau Montebello as our winter destination wedding we had got the big things right- a charming rustic lodge for friends and family to meet and stay under one roof, excellent seasonal food, and a sense of place for Scott’s family who have a country home in the nearby village. But of course, weddings are a series of small details so we needed to sweat those too- enter Lynn Lee, our wedding planner. Lynn effortlessly wove all the details into a formal, classic, and meaningful wedding ceremony and reception- from sleigh rides to hot chocolate wedding favours- she surpassed all of our expectations. The highlight of her work was the dining room set in the Canada Room- three long elegant candle-lit tables with dozens of candelabras seating all 95 of our guests- breathtaking. Lynn helped us achieve what we had wanted all along for guests- a warm, special moment in the midst of a long, cold, dark winter. We must say even mother nature cooperated on our wedding day, delivering a sunny +3 degrees centigrade in late February but we suspect Lynn Lee might have had something to do with that too.
