Romantic Wedding at the Brooklyn Winery

Rustic, romantic, and full of sweet personal details were three things this couple wanted on their wedding day, and in my humble opinion, they nailed it. Brooklyn Winery proved to be the perfect setting and Lindsay Madden was there to catch every stop along the way (including a pizza parlor!). Get cozy and take a spin through the stunning affair for yourself.

From Lindsay Madden PhotographyBrooklyn weddings always make me happy! They truly have a coolness factor that is always off the charts. I have been wanting to photograph at the Brooklyn Winery for quite some time and it was definitely meant to be when my high school friend Mike {aka the groom} reached out to me to see if I was interested in capturing his special day with his beautiful bride, Courtney.

Courtney and Mike were married on July 5th in front of their closet family and friends. The weather was beautiful and the city was quiet. Courtney and Mike envisioned their wedding day to be rustic, romantic and filled with sweet personal details. Brooklyn Winery was the perfect location to bring their vision to life. This venue was very organic with long wooden farm tables and succulents that ran up the walls. Large windows provided the ceremony and reception room with gorgeous natural light. Courtney started her day at their apartment where she was surrounded by her lovely bridesmaids, mom and grandmother. Rubi Jones worked her magic on Courtney’s hair and Jackie Schneider amplified Courtney’s beauty with a natural make up look. Courtney looked radiant in her Sarah Seven dress and I especially loved her pale blue Rachel Simpson shoes. She also accessorized her dress with a stunning piece by Twigs and Honey. Courtney’s bridesmaids wore navy, swiss dot J. Crew dresses and their whole look was tied together with lavender colored roses and white dahlias created by Opalia Flowers. Courtney and Mike opted for a first look and they really wanted to walk around their neighborhood for their portraits. My favorite part of their portraits was when they took me to their favorite pizza place in Williamsburg called Best Pizza. They were hungry and being the ultra cool couple that they are, they decided to share a slice.

After Courtney and Mike’s heartfelt ceremony, guests enjoyed a delicious sit down dinner. The reception decor complimented the venue perfectly. Candelabras and teal colored mason jars filled with baby’s breath lined the tables. I especially loved the whimsical feel of each dinner plate and Courtney & Mike’s cake was a naked cake designed by Momofuku. After dinner, the dance floor opened up and guests danced to the wonderful music of The National Reserve. The energy on the dance floor was infectious and everyone had such an incredible time. I absolutely loved capturing Courtney and Mike’s stunning affair!
