Angela from Saffron Avenue here, and today I’m sharing my experience dress shopping with my bridesmaids! You might have noticed from my last post I’m a huge fan of mix and match styles. I knew I wanted soft neutrals and long dresses, but was a little nervous it might be hard to translate my vision. But with a little luck – and mimosas a’plenty – each girl found a gorgeous gown to love.
Since all of my bridesmaids are married and have been through the entire bridesmaid dress shopping experience, I wanted to try something new and fun for them. That is when I discovered Brideside, which allows you to pick out dresses, have them shipped to you, and then try them on in the comfort of your own home. Since all my maids live in different cities I thought it would be neat to host a girls weekend where we can get together, sip some wine, reminisce, and of course try on gorgeous dresses at my apartment.
We started our morning off with a delicious breakfast bar and sipped on some mimosas. After breakfast, each of the girls picked out a few of their favorite dresses to try on first. We mixed and matched the styles as well as the colors and by the time we were done each girl found one they absolutely loved! We then picked out the final colors and sizes and let our stylist know we were ready to order the dresses. It was so awesome to see all the girls dresses, colors and styles come together and totally got me even more pumped for May 1st!
The entire experience was so much fun, it was like Carrie Bradshaw trying on her many outfits in her closet among her best friends. I wouldn’t trade it for anything and so happy each of my girls found a dress!
