Can I let you in on a little secret? I kind of love winter. It’s not a statement you hear often, mostly up here in New England where the winters are particularly fierce, but there is just something about that season that is beautiful, cozy and intimate – and how can you not love that? From Belle Ombre Photography…Ohioans are used to cold weather and snow but this winter has been the exception. With serious snowfall, record lows, and more calamity days than one can count on two hands. We were “chomping at the bit” to get out of hibernation and have a little fun. As you can imagine – winter tends to be a very slow season for weddings around these parts, so we pulled together some of our favorite vendors for a winter inspiration shoot that will satisfy any brides dream of a winter wonderland wedding. The timing for this shoot was everything, we needed fresh snow but also needed fresh flowers, a wedding cake, models, and everyone’s availability. It took careful planning but believe it or not, our opportunity came fast – one week later we were shooting. Our model (Kate) was a true warrior, it was 21 degrees with a wind-chill of 7, we couldn’t have asked for a better team to work with for this shoot. The session took place in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park, which spans several cities in Northeastern Ohio.
