Fall Farm Wedding With Shades of Red
Truth be told, I was never a huge fan of bright cherry red. But then this particular wedding came along and changed my mind in mere seconds flat. From Ahmet Ze...Elizabeth and Nino are friends of mine who are also photographers. Their wedding took place on Elizabeth's grandmother's farm in Chalfont, PA. This wedding had a lot of handmade details; the bouquets, Elizabeth's head band, to the lighting fixture in the reception that the groom made. There was another lovely surprise from the groom to his bride but I'll let you read that below.
From The Bride...My husband, Nino, and I were wed at my Grandmom's farm in Chalfont, PA. This is such a special place to me, as some of my most special and cherished memories all through out my life were here. It is a place that represents so much wonderment and comfort, and having our wedding here was a dream come true. I wore a dried flower crown and my Grandmom's jewelry. The bouquets and boutonnieres were hand made out of dried wheat, lavender, and baby's breathe. The dinner tables were draped in vintage crochet and lace linens and lined with mismatched bottles lightly filled with leafy greens and small florals hand picked the day before. Each dinner plate and cloth napkin were different and unique from one another. One of my favorite details was a small vintage step stool which I covered with my Dad's books and old framed photos of both of my Grandmother's wedding photos. One of the most special moments of the day was when Nino surprised me during our First Look with my dream car, an old red BMW convertible. He had been secretly restoring it for over a year in a friend's garage. He even requested that our bridesmaids dresses be red to match my cherry red car. So sneaky! The absolute best part of this day though, was marrying Nino.
