With a last name like Bilodeau and a nearly 100% French heritage, I’d like to think that my family hails from somewhere as lovely as the French Riviera. Maybe that’s why it sits so hit atop my travel wish list. But truthfully, I owe it to stunning imagery like this engagement from Anna Roussos that has me inching closer and closer to booking our next vacation there. If you think this is breathtaking, just wait for the unbelievable wedding this afternoon.
From the beautiful Bride… Robin and I planned to arrive a few days ahead of our wedding party so we could have some time to recover from jet lag and explore Nice a bit before heading to Provence to say “I Do” (it was more like “I do I do I do!!”). When our photographer, Anna Roussos, told me she would be arriving in Nice early as well, we figured why not take advantage of the beautiful, and oh so romantic scenery with an engagement/prewedding shoot?! We never had the chance to have a proper engagement shoot back at home, and Nice was perfect. We met up with Anna and her husband Xavier on a sunny day, and spent the afternoon and evening hours exploring the town together, while capturing it along the way. Prior to the shoot, Anna had stopped and bought me a bouquet of freshly cut pink peonies from a street florist. Not only do I adore peonies, but the colors looked so good with the natural scenery! We stumbled upon colorful alleyways in the old town, lush greenery, and even stopped off to enjoy a nice glass of wine together at the cutest street café! We had so much fun with Anna and Xav, it felt like we we’re hanging out with friends! That was important for Rob and I as neither of us had ever had professional photos taken of us. Anna made it easy to loosen up, and enjoy ourselves. It was an absolute dream, and I’m eternally grateful to Anna for capturing our personalities and the love we share, and in the gorgeous French Riviera to boot!
