From Kristen Lynne PhotographyThis chic, black tie wedding took place in quite possibly one of the most beautiful cities in the US, Washington, DC. This romantic and stylish couple had their ceremony in The National Cathedral. The beauty and majesty of the cathedral was fitting for their gorgeous, DC wedding. The moment was nothing short of spectacular as Megan walked down the long aisle of the Cathedral with her father by her side. Rudy and Megan said their vows at the high alter under the cover of vaulted ceilings and stained glass. Their guests sat in the ornate pews of the great choir as they witnessed these two amazing people pledge their love for one another.

Because Rudy and Megan have a classic style, the decided not to have any strong color theme. They kept their invitations and decor simple; black and white. Megan’s bridesmaids wore black, floor-length dresses and Rudy’s groomsmen wore white tuxedo jackets. The entire wedding was accented with the beautiful soft colors of the National Cathedral and subtle metallic accents. The evening light caused the limestone to turn the softest shade of pink, which made for an exquisite backdrop for the happy couple’s portraits.

The reception at The Ritz-Carlton was also spectacular. Tiny votive candles floated in the air above the dining tables creating a warm and romantic atmosphere for a posh, city, summer reception! The seated dinner served by the wait staff at The Ritz-Carlton was both beautiful and delicious. Each course was presented like a work of art! But Megan and Rudy are also light hearted and so much fun, so it made sense for them to have a candy bar! Soon the guests were up, dancing, socializing, and having a great time. This was a wedding everyone would always remember.
