Mix one part romantic fairy tale, with one part old hollywood glam…and then sprinkle TONS of gold all over it. That’s the recipe for this delicious delight, crafted by Bella Joviality and Simply Elegant Floral Design, and it’s a real stunner. From Lauren Jolly Photography…The moment we saw the breathtaking handmade gates at The Leaning Tree, we were inspired to create this styled shoot. “Garden Glam” came naturally as a theme especially since a glamorous 1921 Georgian style home was the backdrop of the ceremony. The remainder of the shoot took place amongst the incredible walled gardens the venue has to offer. We chose a palette of gold, fuchsia, and magenta, as working with such bold colors is always a fun challenge.
For the florals, Anna went over the top with fragrant garden roses, giant peonies, and lush greenery. The bride’s dramatic bouquet was the first component of the shoot she designed and everything else flowed from there. Anna made the bridesmaids bouquets similar to the bride’s, but with a simpler arrangement and, to top it off, she created a floral crown for the bride that complemented the groom’s perfect garden rose boutonniere. An antique mahogany table owned by the venue made a perfect garland-draped guest table. We tucked the sweetheart table under the branches of an original Deodar Cedar tree, giving us quite the light show at sunset. The last shots of the evening were of the wedding cake, and we must admit they are some of our favorites. Anna covered each layer with peonies, garden roses, stock and jasmine, literally dripping in flowers.
Sarah created the invitation suite based off of the garden theme and added a touch of glamour with the gold envelope liner. She also hand-lettered the signage seen throughout the shoot and created the beautiful die-cut place cards for the guest table. All of the details created by Sarah at Bella Joviality were completely perfect and custom-made for the shoot.
