Kate Spade Lemon Wedding Inspiration
This sunny wedding inspiration from Claudette Marie Events is just the shot of Vitamin D you need with the cold starting to creep in. Inspired by Kate Spade, the shoot, captured by Kristyn Harder, had big, beautiful shoes to fill, and fill them it did. With lemons in every corner, dip-dyed napkins, and the perfect touch of whimsy in flamingo form, it's the perfect way to inject a little sunshine in your day.
From Claudette Hogan... Everyone jumped on the Kate Spade band wagon this year, working on shoots and inspiration using the trademark, black, white, pink and gold and I must admit, I am 100% a fan! But I wanted to do something a little bit different, but still with that well known, quirky Kate Spade feel.
When New york fashion week was on, I saw the amazing lemon printed items that they had released and I instantly fell in love! I started a Pinterest board for inspiration and ran with it.
I love doing shoots outside. I think it gives you so many more options to work with and Ixchel from Parfait Productions recommended the venue.
I approached Kristyn and Parfait to see what their thoughts were, and they were both really excited to be a part of the shoot. Both their creative visions and talent made this shoot come to life!
The Social Page worked wonders on the stationery, even though I may have drove them crazy with my 'specific' requests, but these ladies know their stuff! I gave them the concept and let them run with it. I trust their judgements because they are the experts and when you do, magic happens!
I love love love flowers and have made a vow to try and have fresh flowers in my house as often as I can. Jamie at Fleurish Flower Shop outdid herself! The arrangement was perfect and was exactly what I had in mind! All of the greenery worked perfectly with the pops of yellow and white! Something I think Ms. Spade would approve of!
The rental items tied everything together. The plates were the perfect fit with the menus and I was going to use silver flatware, but who am I trying to kid!
I think we wanted to show next years bride not to be afraid of colour and to have fun with their designs. Yes it is a wedding but it ultimately is your day and when life gives you lemons, make lemonade!
This is our one last hoorah for summer!
