When the bride is a wedding and fashion blogger, you can pretty much bet that her big day will be absolute gorgeousness. With help from Classic Creations Floral Design, the orchard wedding was sunny, soft and of course sparkled. From The Bride… As a part-time wedding and fashion blogger I’m completely obsessed with all of the little details that pull a gorgeous wedding together. We wanted something that was classy and modern, with a fun twist. I’m a fashion intern at the Glitter Guide, so naturally I’m attracted to sparkle! When I saw the sequin tablecloths in a SMP wedding last year I knew that we had to have them. They were the starting point for our décor, and everything else was based around them. Our ceremony and photos took place at a stunning family estate. My Dad built a beautiful wooden arbour, which was draped with flowers and paired with a breathtaking view of two of the Okanagan’s signature blue lakes, making for a picture-perfect backdrop. It ’s hard to choose just a few favourite moments from the day, but a definite highlight was our “first look”. Derek and I chose to have a private moment to allow our photographer to capture our reactions when we saw each other for the first time. My Great Gatsby-inspired Maggie Sottero gown blew Derek away and I couldn’t believe how handsome he looked in his Vera Wang tux! As you can see our photographer couldn’t have done a better job capturing the subtle vintage style we wanted in our photos.It was a day right out of a fairytale and we wouldn’t have changed a thing!
