A few years back, I attended a sweet seaside wedding in Kennebunkport and fell absolutely in love with the locale. It’s charming and oh-so-cozy. So when this stunner from Arielle Doneson came across my desk? I couldn’t wait to click through the gallery. Opposite of the sea, this forest fete at Earth at Hidden Pond was a perfect fit for these two foodies. Packed with beautifully artisanal treats, adorable DIYs and lots of smiles, you can see more right here.
From Arielle Doneson… Nestled among the blooming lupins and birch trees of Kennebunkport, ME, is the award winning resort, Hidden Pond. Home to farm to table restaurant, Earth, with James Beard award-winning chef, Ken Oringer at the helm producing artisanal food that is as beautiful as it is tasty. For architects Juliet and Jared who are also studied foodies, it was the perfect setting for their intimate nuptials.
Joined by their closest family and friends, Juliet and Jared’s wedding had the feel of going to a friend’s Summer home for a spectacular evening complete with assorted succulent centerpieces that they grew themselves, fragrant peony bouquets and the wild beauty of Earth’s on site garden. Being creatives, Juliet and Jared’s wedding was complete with DIY designed stationery suite, wildflower seed packets, and other touches that felt completely at home among the rustic reclaimed wood, stone, and exposed beams of Earth’s interior. After a truly memorable meal of local delicacies (including lobster, of course!) the evening progressed to dancing and drinking under the stars, between the tiki torches and fire pit on the grounds. A truly Maine celebration if ever there was one!
