This is the kind of wedding people will look at today, and one hundred years from today, and still be totally, utterly in love with every image captured by Amy Nicole Photography. It has that timeless feel that always makes us swoon beautifully combined with so many heartfelt details we lost count – so I think it goes without saying, we adore this gallery.
From Amy Nicole Photography…Chris + Anna’s wedding took place at a historic venue (Stevenson Ridge) in Spotslyvania, VA. It has wide open fields and an assortment of different historic buildings/homes on the property. The bride wore her mother’s gown and veil and the wedding was full of simple, yet meaningful and elegant details. The bride also wore a birdcage veil for the reception made out of remnants from her mother’s gown. They had so many talented friends involved from the invitations to the videography, etc!
One of my favorite things is that the groom sent her a gift every hour before the ceremony through different bridesmaids, etc. The final gift was a journal he had started 2 years ago with letters to her that he had been writing way before engagement. Their wedding was full of true joy and a love so very deep. They incorporated glass bottles from her grandparent’s farm as well as the mailbox from the farm to hold their wedding cards. They also had a friend create the watercolor florals on their invitations. The lace you see in the stationery photos are from her mother’s dress. This wedding was full of organic details and a romantic color palette. The venue also gave these simple details an extra romantic flair.
There were many DIY projects that had heirloom meaning including stationery, place cards, decor and centerpieces. All focused around simple and romantic details. Their friend created the watercolor details and the B/G used those elements to create stationery pieces throughout the wedding.
