When we arrived to scope out the venue, my breath was taken away when I looked over the edge of the rooftop at the vast openness that lay before us. We loved this location because it seemed not to define a specific place, but to let the imagination decide the couple’s elopement destination.
Katie and Taylor brought our vision to life, creating the scene for an intimate and emotional elopement. I was honored when other amazing vendors came on board to help execute this shoot. From the beautiful furniture by Mood Party Rentals to the gorgeous invitations by Marisa Woolever, this shoot became an inspiring collaboration and was a joy to photograph!
Ever Something ….We started with the simplicity of overflowing eucalyptus and interesting stones. Paired with the white sweet peas and lavender the Eucalyptus created a natural theme to our table-scape. The linen runner was used to soften the bold look of the farmhouse table. We used textured plates with a polka dot napkin, mismatched silverware, and stunning glassware. The bridal bouquet was wild and unruly featuring a large airplant, anemones, dahlias, ranunculus, sweet peas, and sprigs of lavender tied together with velvet ribbon. The dress was the perfect color and texture next to her flowers and bold necklace. The dessert table made an elegant statement next to the simple concrete surrounding which held a variety of desserts such as berry pie, cream puffs, and cupcakes. We used glass bottles of all sizes holding single stems, a large potted succulent, and a glass box of stones to style. All of these elements combined created such a soft and elegant gathering for the bride and groom and their close friends.
