DIY Wedding in Sydney Harbor

My favorite part of these weddings are the back-stories. Like this pair who, in a very poignant move, decided to marry in the same church as the Bride's parents and even snapped a photo in the place her father proposed to her mother. Take all that sentimental weight, add your closest friends and family and you have yourself one heartfelt affair. Just take a look at Matthew Land's photos of the day!

From Matthew Land Studios... A beautiful, family-centered wedding at a historic church above Sydney Harbor. Family set up the tent, prepared the church, performed live music and the ceremony while friends stepped in helping with flowers (Merrymount, credited for flowers is a bridesmaid), center pieces and hair & makeup. Nicky and Mike were married at the same beautiful church as her parents were and even took photos at Camp Cove Beach where her father had proposed. As a Seattle wedding photographer, flying to Sydney to escape our winter for a few weeks in their summer was perfect. Nicky and Mike are the perfect couple and I think these photos reflect a little bit of that. Their wedding was perfect even with the unforeseen hiccup when the limo carrying the bridal party through the Sydney Harbor Tunnel got a flat a half hour before the reception -- underground!
