I’ll be the first to admit I have a slight Say Yes to the Dress obsession. The decisions, the drama and gowns get me every time and today, lovelies, we’re in for a real treat. SYTTD Atlanta’s own Monte Durham is popping by to talk bridal trends, and you better believe we’re all ears. Read on for Monte’s trend-talk and don’t miss new episodes of Say Yes to the Dress Atlanta through Friday, August 8th!
One | Soft flowing skirts
I’m seeing this trend more and more with weddings moving to the barns and beaches. Brides are looking for soft easy mobility and comfort in their gowns.
Two | Rising necklines with netting/lace overlays over sweetheart styles
A new trend that is truly on the rise. Brides are looking to step up their game to look different and have more coverage and support.
Three | Sashes are back from accents colors to bling belts
Color is one of many ways a bride can stand out on her wedding day.
Four | Less beading – more embroidery and texture
As we all know simplicity is the best, and brides are taking note as well. Gowns with light trim and embroidery are now gracing the runway and aisles..a little bit of bling can go a long way.
Five | Headbands and halos
Every bride will have a circle of brilliance in their hair. With bridal hair having a more relaxed feel with soft curls, braids and half up and down, a headband or halo helps keep hair in place while adding a bit of bling and style to their big day and night.
