Modern Rustic Backyard Wedding
I love the different spins brides put on the rustic theme. Having that baseline provides an inherent sense of warmth to a wedding, but other details speak volumes to the couple's taste. Like this bride's awesome bronze Sigerson Morrison pumps with her architecturally tailored gown (love!), all against the natural beauty of Wolfe Island, Ontario. Anna Jones was there to capture the day. You can see it all here.
From Anna Jones Photography... Combining Emily's love of Wolfe Island where she grew up along with a little DIY, local vendors and a vision of rustic elegance, Emily was able to create a gorgeous outdoor wedding to lend itself as inspiration to any bride. Emily and Paul had a vision for an intimate wedding ceremony and reception, surrounded by close family and friends, on Wolfe Island where Emily grew up. The sun-kissed ceremony was held on a neighbours log-house waterfront Estate overlooking Lake Ontario followed by a beautiful tented reception which was held on Emily's parents property. From start to finish, the entire day was full of DIY accents and features that truly tied in the theme of a simple and elegant backyard wedding. Emily's parents worked really hard on landscaping and getting their backyard wedding ready and it truly came together in a picture perfect way. All the flower arrangements that adjourned the day were home-grown and arranged by friends and family, the wedding favours were hand-make soaps by Emily's mom and Aunt and the wedding cake was made by Emily's bother and brother-in-law. Family and friends contributed their skills and talents, in true DIY fashion, to make Emily's vision of a modern/rustic wedding theme come to life.
