Classic New England Wedding at Tupper Manor

With Tupper Manor being mere miles from my very own home, I instantly recognized the vast views when Arielle Doneson sent this seaside soiree along. Not only does this stunning venue set the scene for timeless elegance, but it served as a perfect backdrop for the Bride and Groom’s simple, relaxed vision and the wildly beautiful blooms from Pepperberry’s Flowers. From the beautiful Bride… From the day Todd proposed, I started combing Style Me Pretty for wedding ideas – I had no idea what our wedding would look like! It was only once we found Tupper Manor that the vision really came together. Todd and I both knew that we wanted the venue to be close to the ocean, have accommodations on-site, and have a timeless feel…and Tupper Manor had all of that and more. We never really developed a “theme”, but wanted the day to be relaxed, elegant, and a lot of fun!

I found my dress before we even started looking for a venue – it was the first one I tried on. I wanted something that could work in a castle, or on the beach. The dress was light and comfortable, and I felt really beautiful. It was also important to me that my girls were really comfortable. After one of my (very patient) bridesmaids tried on over 30 dresses, we landed on the JCrew dark cove chiffon and knew they would be perfect, and re-wearable! The guys looked great as well in classic black tuxes.

The beautiful, old world feel of Tupper Manor inspired us to keep our decor relatively simple. We included silver and gold metallic accents with mercury glass and gold table numbers, lots of candlelight, and we really let the venue do the rest. For the flowers, I wanted them to look “deconstructed” and just picked from the garden. Donna at Pepperberry’s read my mind! The flowers we’re incredibly varied, and included hints of the blue and peach/coral we had chosen as our colors. Walking down the aisle felt like walking through a spring garden – the flowers were just gorgeous.

All of our other vendors were top notch. I have been a customer (and friend) of Interlocks for years, and everyone there made the day so special. We were totally pampered! DJ Josh was fantastic from the day we booked him without even meeting him first. He kept the crowd up and moving the whole time. The cake was DELICIOUS – Jenny of Jenny’s Cakes and Donna at Pepperberry’s collaborated to make it look like it was really blooming. Arielle Doneson was just wonderful…she managed the day (and the bridal party) with a smile, and we know our photos are going to be treasured. Last but not least, Tupper Manor was incredibly professional and accommodating throughout the process; we would recommend them to anyone looking for a top notch North Shore venue.

Our only struggle was the favor dilemma – favors, no favors, what would people actually use? In the end, we decided to make a donation to the ALS Association in memory of my dad. We felt this was a great way to honor him, and recognize that even though he wasn’t there physically, he was definitely there in spirit.

The day flew by, but it truly felt perfect. From the getting ready process, to the personalized ceremony, to the amazing food and the party that continued into the night, we could not have imagined a better day. We are so excited to start the next chapter of our lives, and so thankful to our vendors, friends, and family for helping us start it off just right!
