Can we talk about this cake for a sec? You can’t miss it. It’s naked, randomly doused in drippy frosting and dressed up with the most vibrant red strawberries you ever did see. Is your mouth watering yet? And atop a monogrammed log slice cake stand, it fits right into the vintage-y rustic style that you see in every corner of this beautiful day. Head on over to the gallery from Rachel Absher for even more!
From Rachel Absher Photography… Sagan and Wade were married at J&M Ranch in Lakeland, Florida. Sagan did an amazing job making her own DIY projects out of vintage and rustic finds. What makes the decor even more special is the fact that most of the vintage items are heirlooms of her grandmother. Sagan and Wade opted for a “first look” before the ceremony. I loved capturing Wade’s face as he turned to see his beautiful bride for the first time in her dress.
Wade and Sagan were married under an oak tree donned in moss and decorated with tissue poms and mason jars lit with tea light candles. The flower girls wore peach dresses with grey feather hems. Their ceremony featured wood benches with tin cans filled with baby’s breath at the end of each row.
There was so much attention paid to detail in this wedding. The reception featured a popcorn bar with all the dressings, a chocolate milk bar for the kiddos, hot chocolate once the sun went down, and their cake was a tall, delicious Strawberry Shortcake. The lovely couple exited their reception through an arch of sparklers and boarded the back of a vintage pickup truck.
