Summer Inspired Wedding Shoot in the Okanagan Valley

Inspired by summer in the Okanagan Valley, Christie Graham Photography and Created Lovely Events set out to craft a shoot that fully embraces the best parts of a warm-weathered affair. A fresh color palette of pretty pink and peach, organic florals by A New Leaf Floral Design decorating a weathered canoe and the easy elegance of dining al fresco – it's all folded into this story. From Created Lovely Events...When Christie Graham Photography and I initially met to discuss the inspiration for this shoot, we really wanted to encompass our take on Summer in the Okanagan Valley; fresh peach and pink flowers, grass and trees just beginning to turn green, warm light, and of course the feel of summer arriving by the water.

The tablescape was designed to be fresh and romantic. Based on a wood table with a soft grey table runner, beautiful calligraphy menus and place cards added the pop of color to match the vibrant, flowing centerpiece. Gold candle sticks and gold rimmed glassware added warmth while small terrarium boxes filled with blueberries doubled as favors and decor to complete the look.

When it came to the models, sometimes you meet couples whose love is just so infectious they simply have to be photographed. That's Meg and Scott. These two modeled so effortlessly, letting the love of their four year marriage really show. Wearing a romantic flowing gown with long loosely curled locks, Meg looked stunning next to her handsome beau in a plaid navy shirt and suit jacket.

The romantic, vine draped canoe and detailed oars pulled the rest of this Spring lakeside shoot together on the rocky beach of Okanagan Lake.
