Tucked away in the enchanting Redwoods, this Nestldown forest fete from Gavin Farrington is nothing short of a fairytale. An eclectic combo of rustic romance, whimsy and elegance, the lovely Bride & Groom were able to seamlessly tie their religion and cultural heritage into one beautiful gathering with their nearest and dearest. The result is wildly charming and it’s all right here!
From the beautiful Bride… We were going for a rustic, yet elegant style. We had a large number of family and friends flying in from all over the world, and we wanted to give them an authentic California experience, surrounded by nature. We particularly loved the landscape provided by the mountains and redwoods. Also, it was important for us to include elements of our religious and cultural heritage, which is a mix of Jewish, Mexican, and American. We looked for ways to incorporate aspects of our identity into the details of the decor, food, and music.
There are many special moments that stand out in our memory of the wedding. Standing under the chuppah was a very emotional moment. The hora dancing was so much fun. After a brief cocktail reception, we walked and danced in a line to the barn while following the musicians, which were playing live klezmer music. All of our family and friends joined. Once we got to the barn the hora dancing continued. Our last dance was also very special. Spontaneously, all of our friends and family started dancing in circles around us. There were multiple layers of circles and we were in the middle surrounded by all of our dear family and friends.
