Romantic New York City Engagement Session

Lovelies, I adore this e-sesh like no other. The first moment I laid eyes on the drop dead gorgeous imagery from Rebecca Yale Portraits, this love session quickly made it to the top of my favorites list. With sunny New York City as the backdrop, cherry blossoms and tulips galore, and one stylish-as-ever duo, I have a feeling it might sweep you off your feet too. See it all here!

From Rebecca Yale PortraitsChanel and Adam wanted to capture the feeling of New York City in their engagement photos so we picked two spots—the West Village and Central Park during cherry blossom season to get a feeling for all New York City has to offer. We shot on the first truly warm Spring Sunday after a long cold winter and it felt like the whole city was smiling with us. We started out the shoot with a high fashion look paired with the cobblestone streets of the West Village. Chanel paired a very chic peplum dress with a vintage pearl necklace by her namesake, Chanel. The bride and groom then switched to a beautiful cream dress and perfectly tailored suit to complement the cherry blossoms in full bloom up in Central Park. We caught the beautiful rays of light during golden hour as the cherry blossoms cascaded down around them creating a perfect New York moment.

From the beautiful Bride-to-be… New York City is a special place for Adam and I. It’s where we first met, fell in love and will be saying our “I do’s” and marking the beginning of our new life together. For our engagement shoot we wanted two locations, one that is fun and edgy, and the other that is classic and timeless. Having lived in the city for over five years, we knew exactly which areas we wanted for the shoot, the West Village and Central Park. Not only are these places we adore—countless dinner nights and casual strolls in the park—but also places we wanted to capture without any time constraints, just two people enjoying the wonderful city that brought us together.

Lucky for us, we were blessed with a beautiful Spring day, where the sun was out and cherry blossoms were blooming. The photos brought our vision to life, creating a story that shows the love we have for one another in some of the most memorable locations of New York City.
