From Amanda Archer… The Amanda Archer Collection is a wedding dress design business founded in 2008 by me, Amanda. My wedding and bridal party dresses are made to measure and can be customized by color, fabric and/or small detail changes. I do all the design work, fabric selection, pattern drafting and sewing to create specially made garments for my clients.
My design studio is located in Chicago, Illinois where I meet with local or visiting brides and bridal parties. I also work with brides all over the world including Australia and Canada through my online shop, we start an email discussion about any custom requests or specific details measurements, sizing and shipping info.
My wedding dresses can be described as vintage inspired with a twist of retro and a pinch of whimsy. I create non-traditional wedding dresses with comfort in mind while still being flattering to a woman’s figure. Most of my bridal clients have outdoor weddings in a beautiful garden, beach or rustic country setting.
I also design for the bridal party including bridesmaid and flower girl dresses. I strive to create cocktail dress designs that can be worn again and that are comfortable using natural fabrics including cotton and silks.
