This summer stunner from Hunter Photographic epitomizes classic style in every way possible. From the Bride arriving at the same church and in the same Rolls Royce as her mother in 1977, to the lace Pronivias dress, the pearls, the tux and everything in between. Ending with a serious bang of beautiful fireworks (a surprise for the Bride & Groom!) this gallery is hard to beat!
From Hunter Photographic… Weeks away from the start of this classic summer wedding, I knew it would be something truly special. The mother-of-the-bride had shared much of the secret plan with me. The wedding would be classic, packed with rich details, and capped with an epic surprise for the bride and groom.
The amazing details all start with the gorgeous wedding stationery, printed by William Arthur. The invitation suite included cards for all occasions – bachelorette party, wedding shower, wedding invitation, ceremony program and reception menus.
The real opulence of event can best be seen in the fashions. The bride wore a stunning Pronovias dress with finely detailed lace covering her shoulders. The groom wore a custom Kilgore & Trout tuxedo with the groomsmen in matching Calvin Klein’s. Pulling the color palette together perfectly were rich navy blue bridesmaids dresses from Jim Hjelm.
Completing the color palette were the flowers by Charles Phillips, which were filled with rich white and pink roses and just a touch of blue. The bouquets perfectly accented the shoes worn by each bridesmaid.
More than the details, the story of the wedding is equally as endearing. Meredith’s mother is Russian Orthodox and was married in much the same fashion years ago. Growing up, the stories Meredith heard of her mother’s wedding became the template for her own. Meredith chose the same church, known for being extensively featured in an old Robert DeNiro & Christopher Walken film. As is tradition in Russian Orthodox ceremonies, an icon has been handed down through the generations, finally given to Meredith and Hunter by Meredith’s mother on their wedding day. Similar to her mother, Meredith was escorted to the ceremony in a 1977 Rolls Royce Silver Shadow II.
The whole wedding day, I had to bite my tongue regarding the big surprise, while also being ready to capture the moment. To celebrate Meredith & Hunter’s wedding with a bang, the family had organized a full fireworks show to cap off the wedding day. Shot off from the beautiful golf course at The County Club in Pepper Pike, the show rivaled what most cities do for Fourth of July.
Also worth noting was the impeccable wedding planning by Susie Cargile, a seasoned professional well know among the well-to-do in Cleveland. Furthermore, the five-layer cake from Luna Bakery and perfumed with white roses made the perfect centerpiece for the cocktail hour held on the large patio.
When I reminisced with Meredith about her wedding day, one thing came up again and again – how happy she was that Nestle, the couples chocolate lab, could have at least a small part in the wedding. While he could not be part of the wedding ceremony, Meredith was thrilled to have Nestle with her in the morning.
