Black Tie Al Fresco Affair in Napa

In my mind, black tie is synonymous with a big, grand ballroom. But Beaulieu Garden, with its gorgeous sweeping grounds is taking that pigeon hole and blowing it right out of the water. It’s a beautiful ball gown, a classic tux and sun-filled garden dining crafted by Amy Kaneko Events with impeccable florals by Kathleen Deery. Have a look at this day photographed by Kurt Boomer that will forever change your mind about traditional black tie weddings.

After meeting through mutual friends, Christine & Brian decided on a destination wedding in Napa Valley. This stylish New York couple took Wine Country to a new level of sophistication with their black tie wedding at Beaulieu Garden.

Christine & Brian worked with Amy Kaneko Events to create a design that embraced old-school glamour. Their romantic color palette of soft blush and ivory was tempered by classic black and gray, and metallic touches echoed the luxe look.

Highlights included: the bride’s ethereal Monique Lhullier gown, a vintage Rolls Royce, tons of peonies and sparkling candlelight in the dinner arbor, antique mirror trays sprinkled throughout, gorgeous watercolor stationery, and a celebratory champagne tower.
