To marry someone you met when you were 11 years old is pretty remarkable and so very deserving of a beautiful celebration like this. From the Bride… Andrew and I first met when we were 11 years old through a mutual friend. Several years went by and we bumped into each other one again at the mall. We were friends for several months before we officially started dating and the rest is history!
Andrew proposed on our 8 year dating anniversary during a surprise trip he planned to Charleston, South Carolina. It was such a surprise and a weekend I will never forget!
We are from the same hometown and for our wedding we envisioned an intimate, laid back wedding on the water. We decided on the beautiful newly renovated Tuckahoe Mansion on the Indian River. We loved the style of the venue and we used to visit the picturesque site when we first started dating, which was then known to us as the “haunted mansion.” We were excited to get married at a place that had special meaning to both of us.
We chose neutral colors of blush pink, ivory and hints of gold for the décor and bridesmaids dresses. Our ceremony was held on the front deck of the mansion overlooking the water, with a tented reception on the back terrace.
Overall our wedding was perfect! We had the best night of our lives celebrating with our closest friends and family. Thanks to Leslie Hollingsworth Photography and Bridges Cinema we have amazing photographs and video to continue reminiscing for many years to come!
