From the beautiful Bride… I married my sweet husband on the most perfect winter day in Cullman, Alabama at Stone Bridge Farm. While it was a chilly 30 degrees on our wedding day, the warmth of our friends and family (and lots of dancing!) kept us from freezing! My inspiration for the wedding was all things cozy and elegant. I also wanted to tie in Christmas elements without overdoing the holiday theme. When thinking about bridesmaid dress colors, I wanted to avoid red or green, so I chose a neutral palette. I gave my bridesmaids some dress options and allowed them to pick their own dresses. I wanted them to feel comfortable and beautiful! I also gave them cream pashminas and robes to help them stay warm throughout the day. My dress from the Anne Barge Blue Willow collection was made of a swiss dot material that I instantly fell in love with. The soft, unique material complemented the theme of the wedding.

The ceremony was held at the gorgeous wooden chapel at Stone Bridge Farm. Christmas trees and cypress adorned the chapel, bringing in just the right amount of Christmas touches. The wooden pews and candles in the windows added to the coziness! Soft Christmas music was played by the pianist and violinist as guests were seated. My pastor married us with the sweetest personal stories about Tyler and me in the sermon.

The reception was held next door in their beautiful reception hall. Everything about the reception gave off a warm, cozy feel. My husband, Tyler, was a former mascot at Auburn University, so naturally, Aubie the Tiger had to make an appearance at our reception. Also, the groom’s cake featured Aubie sitting on top of the Auburn University sign, a well-known monument in the Auburn community. We all danced the night away to the fantastic music of Az Izz…who danced just as much as we all did!

My favorite things about our wedding were the personal touches scattered throughout the day. Tyler’s super talented mom made the groomsmen’s bow ties out of grey wool. Also, his cousin actually made the awesome Aubie cake! My best friend, and Matron of Honor, sketched all of the pictures for the wedding program, and my talented husband designed the program himself. The pianist that played during the ceremony also played in my parents’ wedding. All of these personal touches made our day even more special. Instead of looking back and seeing a cold, winter day in Alabama, we’re filled with warm memories of our family and friends surrounding us on the best day of our lives.
