Whimsical and Elegant Ballroom Wedding at Fairmont San Francisco
We all lead very busy lives, it's true. But trust me when I say you need to set aside some time today to really dive into this gorgeous wedding. It's a picture perfect party planned by Charmed Events Group that we get to see through the talented lens of Wayne and Angela, and the result is wedding post perfection. From Charmed Events Group...Cilla and Daniel met on a ski trip through mutual friends and had one of those instant moments of love and attraction that led them to making the decision to walking down the aisle together. Their instant love and connection with each other really shows every time you are around them and it was infectious throughout the planning process and the day itself!
Cilla has a really bubbly and outgoing personality and is a girl's girl. We carried her personality and fun ambitions over to the planning and design of their wedding by creating a wedding that was fun, cute, whimsical and full of fluff, sequins, pink and gold! Daniel is more reserved in nature and his personality was infused to curate the design to be one that was classic, clean and refined. Cilla and Daniel's requests were simple: it had to be pretty, it had to be sparkly, they had to have a flower wall and it had to involve their beloved dog Mickey! Collectively, we were inspired by pinwheels, flower puff balls and glittery gold to be the foundation of their day.
For their ceremony, we had a custom Flower Wall built that included handmade pinwheels by the couple. We then created garlands to adorn the Flower Wall as well as the chairs. Handmade Tissue and Tulle balls were hung from the ceremony chairs. For their ceremony programs, we went off the idea of garlands and created individual program garlands for their guests and family. The hit of the ceremony was their lil dog Mickey walking down the aisle before Cilla came down the aisle.
For Cocktail hour, we created a floating wall of balloons to match Daniel's hand drawn Save the Dates and placed sparkly gold escort cards on beds of flower balls made out of yarn. Guests were invited to create an art piece by leaving a balloon as their guestbook, also to match Daniel's hand drawn Save the Date Design. The couple's favorite Dr. Seuss quote was displayed as a reflection to the couple's self description of who they were.
For the Reception, we draped the entire top floor of the Fairmont, drawing back each window pane to reveal the panoramic views of the city. Going off the balloon theme, each table had an oversized balloon as part of the centerpiece, of which were also round balls of flowers. We had custom die cut menus made for the couple and of course, had another custom made flower wall as the backdrop to the head table. For the dessert table, we had a custom vinyl mirror piece that said "How Sweet it is to be loved by you" set a top a sequined linen filled with desserts for the guests to enjoy.
Guests enjoyed the beautiful view of the city as they dined and danced the night away. One of my favorite touches were the blind letter pressed invitations with accents of gold foil that we designed for them as well as the confetti that was enclosed in each invitation, all packaged and tied up with twine. What a perfect way to invite guests to such a beautiful day of celebration and love that their wedding encompassed!
